State’s Attorney Robert Harvey Announces New Graduates of the Circuit Court Adult Treatment Program
Calvert County State’s Attorney Robert Harvey is pleased to announce that 11 men and women recently graduated from the Circuit Court Adult Treatment Program, a/k/a, drug court. These individuals underwent an 18-month program of substance abuse counseling, drug-testing, skills training, and behavior modification. They were required to meet weekly with a counselor for drug treatment and screening. At least once each month, they were required to appear before a Circuit Court judge to review their progress. Program violations were punished with “sanctions,” to include periods of incarceration. In the end, these individuals had to demonstrate that they were clean and sober and crime-free over an extended period of time in order to graduate.
